How do they pony up the balls day after day to continually lie and shovel bullshit to the public?
In light of the Pope's death, the White House press secretary touted John Paul's virtues, and one of their key phrases that they repeated over and over was that he believed in a culture of life...........just like our president. A reporter questioned the use of "culture of life" and Bush's support for the death penalty at a press conference and the secretary said now wasn't the time to talk about how the Pope and Bush differed on their views. When you start comparing the president to the Pope it is definitely a good time to discuss why Bush supports the death penalty.
Oh yeah, and those who say "eye for an eye", that was the Old Testament you ignorant assholes. In case your knowledge of your own faith has gotten rusty, the Old Testament is a history lesson and the New Testament is what your religion is based upon. Jesus was a forgiving man and more than anything cared about humanity and never supported the intentional death of anyone. You all really don't deserve to call yourselves followers of Christ. It's funny, I claim to be agnostic/spiritual and yet I could be a better Christian than any Republican out there.
The Pope openly attacked the war on Iraq claiming it was a "defeat for humanity" and the church also took a firm stance against it.
That being said, let's now discuss Fox News, the world's shittiest, most conservative, and most biased 24 hour news station. One of their hosts claimed the Pope's views on the war weren't exactly black and white. Uh.....he said it was a defeat against humanity....what more could he possibly say to clarify the fact that the war was wrong? Why can't you all be humble enough to admit your errors? No human is infallible, yet you all walk around with your head up high thinking you are.
For a group of people who claim to be moral and upstanding, conservatives sure like to lie and kill a lot.
